Our Mission
The SFCPA is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating new and enhancing existing opportunities to study, perform, and enjoy music through percussion. Along with educational programs from classical to world percussion, we help make music accessible to our community through school presentations, workshops, and performances. We also meet the challenge of studying percussion: access to literature, instruments, and rehearsal space in our 2300 sq.ft. facility.
Over 100 students participating each week in our free and low-cost music programs.
Over 60 workshops and dozens of performances by students and more than 150 guest artists.
We've engaged thousands of West Kendall residents in our space and around the community.
"Our son Matthew began the RhythmFun! program a year ago, with no experience on any instrument. Since then, he has developed new skills, a passion for percussion, and looks forward to his classes every time. The SFCPA nurtures a fun, inspiring and welcoming environment. The school encourages a genuine love of music and the fine arts, in the young and old alike."
